Sarah and Andrew were married at The Plough Inn at Eaton, in May this year (2023).
They didn’t want any fuss, so their wedding was super chilled. They arrived together and stood at the front of the ceremony room in the old barn with the beautiful wooden beams, waiting to be married, rather than walking up the aisle with all eyes on them.
They left through the old barn doors and greeted their guests on the way out, before heading round to the side of building for a fabulous confetti tunnel.
The Plough has lots of lovely spots for photos and in bright springtime sunlight I usually prefer to backlight people, with the sun behind them, so there are no harsh shadows on people’s faces, in the photos. The more traditional family/ wedding party groups only take around 20 minutes to organise – with a list of around ten to fifteen groups. These are just incorporated into the afternoon – the fun definitely doesn’t stop when the classic photos begin!
As part of the speeches, the bride’s friend organised a twist on the game of Mr and Mrs, whereby the guests had to decide which statements applied to which person. There was a chocolate reward and the guests had a great time hearing all about the antics of the couple over the years.
After the wedding breakfast, we visited a very small local park near The Plough, which has a beautiful old Oak Tree and a small playground. We had some tree photos and on our way back, the guys couldn’t resist having a go on the swings and I captured some fab photos of them playing!
Their evening was spent relaxing in the sunshine with their favourite people and when it came to the first dance time, all guests were called upon to help the couple get the party started.
I’m at the Plough frequently and it never disappoints. Thank you for having me lovelies, it was an absolute pleasure.
