I am very proud to be named as one of the most popular wedding photographers of 2023 by the independent wedding specialists, Hitched.co.uk. The list covers the whole of the UK and there are teams of photographers in there, along with videographers, so I’m extremely honoured to have just little old me in there with some of the big guns!
2023 was a bumper year for weddings for me. The whole wedding scene changed after Covid, with many more venues popping up and couples choosing to take some traditional elements and mixing them in with their own unique take of how things should be done. I still love a church wedding but I’ve photographed less than a handful this year, and whereby I used to always stay for the whole day at a wedding, I now offer shorter days, for smaller weddings, during the week.
I’ve always loved the variety involved in capturing weddings… not only the different styles of photography used, but the different personalities and the different ideas on how a day should look. It never gets boring, that’s for sure! This accolade comes from the number of couples who have contacted me and I’m already booked for over 30 weddings in 2024. This is just the start of the New Year, with lots more couples getting engaged, so I think it’s going to be another bumper year, full of fun, laughter and lots of lovely photos!
