We couldn’t recommend doing Lisa enough, she was amazing from start to finish, she was patient and got all the shots we could have ever wanted. she was amazing with the children and very understanding when they didn’t want pictures done but made the most of the pictures she did get. she knew the best backdrops and the pictures looked amazing. The turn around of pictures was very fast and was great to see on the online portal before receiving the USB which is also beautiful.

Lisa was great on our wedding day, I hate having my picture taken and we were both dreading the focus being on us, but the day drifted on with pockets of photos here and there. When we saw the final products, Lisa had captured a feel for the day, relaxed garden party with all of the group shots requested. She was constantly adjusting my train to make the most of it in the shot which I’m very grateful for. Thank you for the collection of memories from a very special day.

Lisa took beautiful photos for our wedding day. She was so professional throughout the whole process, we had a great meeting with her to talk through the photos we wanted and she was super organised on the day making sure she got the photos we wanted and helping to get everyone organised! She was completely unnoticeable during the ceremony and her camera is super quiet – I don’t think I heard her clicking away once! We loved her style of photos which were really natural and she had them with us so quickly. We are so impressed with Lisa and would highly recommend her.

Our wedding was far from trouble-free for Lisa as it took place on the final day before restrictions came in limiting the number of attendees permitted (March 2020). We weren’t sure the wedding would go ahead until the night before, but Lisa was a calming presence throughout. We were delighted with the job she did on the day and, after riding the storm of the pandemic, she provided us with some wonderful photos and a lovely photo album. We also hired Lisa’s husband Dave as our DJ and were delighted with him, too. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Excellent at doing what she does best
Lisa photographed our wedding in August 2010 at Leigh, I can honestly say that Lisa made our wedding day perfect leaving us with perfect memories for us and all our family to look back on, I cannot thank her enough for her time and effort that she put in to make us feel at ease with everything, i consider myself quite fussy and Lisa never ever made me feel like i was mithering her and everything i asked for she gave me, she took so much stress of us, she came to see us before the wedding and helped me out with so many decisions, everyone on the day and night was extremely impressed with her, and the album is absolutely beautiful we love it. Memories for the rest of our lives
Booking Lisa to photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions we have ever made. These moments can’t be recaptured and will be lost forever. This is where choice is crucial. If you want stuffy formal photos with half a dozen group pinheads and somebody telling you where to stand you can go anywhere. What Lisa gives you is a much more up to date service. We wanted specific formal photos throughout the ceremony and small group photos with our friends, family, work colleagues etc. We gave Lisa a list of all the names and places to photograph and boy did she deliver. After the formals we gave her a free reign. Our photos were unbelievable, incredible, just amazing and beautiful. She captured moments that Paul and I wouldn’t have seen and expressions that are priceless of us and our guests.She was so discreet you didn’t know she was there. All our guests love them as they are part of these moments both funny and serious. To us that is so important. All I will say to you readers of this review is – if you put your trust in this lovely warm lady, you will be over the moon. We look through our photos and they tell us a story of one of the best days of our lives. Having said that, it is up to you to tell Lisa exactly what you want. Do a list of people you want photographed relating to all aspects of the ceremony, name who you want in your groups. After all she is a fabulous, professional lady, unfortunately she isn’t a mindreader, although she’s pretty amazing. Lisa Cowen is a fantastic photographer,Brilliant prices,Very likeable and very friendly, we had 200+ at our wedding and our guests still comment on how nice Lisa was, we was married in june 10.Lisa has an Amazing attitude towards her photography and this reflects in the photos, i can not grumble about one of the photos and i was sent 250+, I would definately recconmend Lisa.

I would absolutely recommend Lisa. She is very professional, a lovely person and makes you feel very relaxed. Lisa went up and beyond her photographer duties, eg. Lisa made sure I had access to a toilet out of view of the guests before the ceremony. Not only that, the photos are amazing. Lisa has an excellent eye for detail. We also booked her DJ husband Dave, who is also excellent. The perfect duo!
Highly recommended to capture your big day with no stress
Lisa was brilliant from initial meeting when we discussed what we wanted, she always relied to emails quickly In the following year and was happy to go extra locations to get a variety of pictures of we wanted to. Me and my husband aren’t particularly used to posing/ having photos taken but she was very friendly and professional so it wasn’t awkward She captured a great mixture of shots from posed traditional, loads I had no idea had been taken which was brill and lots of guests and details We arrived home after our 2 week honeymoon to the disc of pictures which was lovely really quick There was a nice mix of black and white photos and the images were stunning they really captured the day We also ordered 3 storybooks which Lisa designed and was brilliant making lots of little changes so it was exactly what we wanted – we are so happy with the end result . Superb!
Lisa was the photographer at our wedding on 27.06.15. Lisa is an absolute professional and I would reccommend her without hesitation – 10 out of 10. From the outset Lisa was very supportive and helpful in guiding us through the key shots we wanted to capture our special day. On the day, Lisa was prompt and organised. She blended into the background and was able captured some amazing pictures. After the wedding we recieved our pictures on disk much quicker than expected and we were very impressed with the quality and number of pictures. Book her now!!

Lisa photographed our wedding on 26th september 2014, From our initial meeting to recieving the photos Lisa has been fab. She was always quick to respond to my queries and concerns in the months leading up to the big day. This re-assured us, we knew we were in good hands. On the day itself Lisa blended into the crowds and did her thing, what a great job that was. We felt very comfortable, and were able to relax. We were so happy to recieve the disc of photos so soon after the wedding, the pictures are amazing. Both informal and formal pictures capture our special day. Now we have the difficult decision of choosing a selection to go into an album, but Lisa has re-assured us there is no rush. Lisa was also willing to accommodate my demanding mothers request of an additional disc for her. Thankyou Lisa for your hard work and capturing our special day, that we will never forget thanks to these wonderful snaps.
Wonderful Photographs and Friendly Service
I would definitely recommed Lisa as a wedding photograher. We found her via google, and contacted her as she seemed very reasonably priced. We had spoken to a couple of photographers at wedding fairs, and they either seemed very expensive and commercial, or to be offering ‘budget’ packages. We were looking for someone who could take formal but contemporary photographs, as well as some which were artisitic/fun but not cheesy or cliche. Lisa definitely achieved this. Right from the initial meeting she offered advice and ideas, but was very open to what we wanted. I sent her a couple of ideas I had found, and she was more than happy to incorporate them. On the day she was friendly and enthusiastic, organising people without being demanding. The photos are beautiful!

It was a pleasure to have Lisa photograph our wedding from start to finish. Like others we had spoken to many other photographers that were more ‘commercially’ minded but after our first meeting with Lisa we were convinced that not only would she be able to do a great job of photographing our day and producing a wonderful album but also that she would go about it in a friendly and professional way. Beautiful natural photos
We found Lisa via a google search and liked her website, very informative and had a down to earth sense to it. The fact that she did a lot of capturing the moment photos sealed it for us, along with being given full access to every photo taken. Lisa was very professional and knew exactly how to get the best shot, she was very organised and didn’t stop all day. A lot of our guests commented on how polite, lovely and unobtrusive she was throughout the whole day. We are extremely pleased with the photos and she captured all the memorable moments. Highly recommended – a true professional.
When we first met Lisa we felt instantly relaxed and knew she would be a good choice of wedding photographer. Our wedding day was on a cold, snowy weekend in January 2013. We were very impressed that Lisa had actually stayed in a hotel overnight to ensure the weather didn’t cause her any transport problems. This was typical of her excellent attention to detail throughout the day. Despite our wedding venue being quite dark, the quality of her photos was fantastic. Lisa took a wide variety of photos to capture the day perfectly; we hardly noticed her taking some of the more candid shots. One of the main things we requested was a selection of family group photos and she captured these perfectly. A big tick in the box for Lisa is that she is not precious over copyright like a lot of other wedding photographers. I would strongly recommend the photo album option – even though it took us over a year to choose our photos(!), the end result was well worth it and something to treasure for years to come. Lisa photographed our wedding on 6th June at Bredbury Hall in Stockport. Working with a bride who doesn’t like having photographs taken can’t be easy!! However, Lisa was excellent. Warm, quiet, unobtrusive but reassuring & professional; as a result we were quite relaxed and the photos on the DVD we received shortly after the wedding were all lovely. We particularly like the ‘unposed’ photos that were taken without the subjects knowing: This made for some wonderful shots providing delightful memories of the occasion. In the stressful process of planning a wedding you put a lot of trust in a lot of people, and by far the best decision we made in planning our wedding was securing Lisa as our photographer. Lisa without a doubt delivered above and beyond anybody else that we dealt with (venues, florists, DJs, suit hire etc); it was a pleasure to have her involved in our wedding day. From our initial meeting Lisa was friendly, organised and efficient, and on the day was magical – all of our guests were put at ease and commented on how lovely Lisa was. We chose to order an album from Lisa, and created a number of bespoke albums ourselves for our families – Lisa’s package is brilliant value for money compared to many other local photographers. Lisa was the photographer for our wedding at Capesthorne Hall in May this year. From beginning to end she has been fantastic. It was important for us to have someone we felt comfortable around and we knew from the initial meeting that she would be perfect for us. Faultless!
Lisa was brilliant from start to finish. I loved the formal pictures and the natural pictures. It was apparent straight away that she was a lovely person as well which helped to put everyone at ease. As she knew the venue well she was able to take us over to some hidden away spots where she managed to get some of the best pictures of the day. She showed a lot of patience in getting the group shots just right and was willing to stay until late in the day to get the shots of our first dance. She was professional throughout and did a great job at a good price.

My mum actually found Lisa, I was a little concerned we had only seen her website and not any of her portfolios but I really shouldn’t have worried. As soon as we met Lisa it was obvious she was right for us; very relaxed but also professional and obviously experienced. A few weeks before the wedding I sent her a list of all the formal shots I wanted, which really helped on the day. When we were getting ready I barely noticed Lisa was there but when we got the photos back there are beautiful shots of my family getting ready that I will treasure forever. My favourite shots are probably the ones of my husband and I together. We were both a bit nervous about these but Lisa didn’t make the experience cringeworthy at all. From the moment we met Lisa we knew she was the photographer for us! From the initial consultation we just knew we were in safe hands. Your wedding day is the most special day of your life. Your photos and your rings, are the only things you are left with (apart from your wonderful memories) to remind you of the best day of your life. You want to do it right! We could not of been happier with our photographs. Lisa comes to your home if you wish and runs through all the details, shows you some of her amazing albums, you will not be dissapointed. Lisa was not pushy as other photographers were at some bridal shows we went to, but made you feel relaxed and explained every detail. On the big day Lisa was there every step of the way. Taking photos of us getting ready, the ceremony, then all day, through to the first dance. We didn’t even know she was there! We had formal photos, creative photos, relaxed photos. We could not rate Lisa highly enough! When our disc came there was not one photo we were not happy with. She’s brilliant, and captures every moment perfectly. Our whole magical day through a story of photos. Afterwards we decided to also have an album from Lisa too and it is show stopping! ‘I’ve never seen anything like it’ people have said. It truly is a work of art in itself, and shows Lisa’s talents again. Nothing is to much trouble for Lisa, we used to call and ask questions and make sure she knew what we wanted, she was always available to help. Wonderful! A must have wedding photographer!!!

We first met Lisa when we contacted her over a year before our wedding. She is friendly, professional and was excellent in communication from the first time we met her in our home to the delivery of our photos. Lisa managed to achieve a perfect balance of organising our guests without being too authoritarian (as we’ve experenced some photographers being) she caputured the natural shots which speak a thousand words. Fantastic Service
Finding a photographer for our wedding started to become impossible as my fiancé was very picky (he is an amateur photographer himself) and no one I suggested to him was good enough or they were far too expensive. I found Lisa on the internet and having looked at her Gallery and prices both my hubby and I felt that she would be ideal. Lisa works in the Cheshire area and has a set price guide for her photography so I was a bit worried that she may turn down our wedding as we live in Shropshire however from the moment I first spoke to her she was fantastic and she was willing to travel that little bit further without further charge to us. Lisa was fantastic on the day, none intrusive, relaxed yet professional. She arrived to start taking pics as I started getting ready and remained until our first dance was over. Everyone at my wedding commented on how great she was and we gave her a standing ovation at the end of the day. The disc we got had so many wonderful and varied pics which meant we struggled to pick the final 75 for our album however once we did, we couldn’t have been more happier with the finish quality and professionalism. I cant thank Lisa enough for the hard work she put in and would recommend her to anyone. The disc we received allowed us to share our photos with friends and family who don’t live close by and the album is beautiful (worth the extra payment in my opinion). Lisa is very open about cost, so there are no hidden extra charges and her work is amazing – again thank you Lisa for capturing our special day.

I actually wrote a review on here in October having seen Lisa photographing a friends’ wedding – we were so impressed with her that we asked there and then if she was available on our wedding day… we weren’t disappointed – Lisa is fantastic, she’s really calm and collected and knows what she’s doing – she arrived a good few hours before we got married, to photograph the prep stages in the bridal suite, dealt with the chaos brilliantly and got some really fab, ‘as they happen’ shots while us ladies were getting ready. Lisa was brilliant at getting my two young, shy, Nieces (little bridesmaids) to pose for her. The shots of me coming down the stairs towards my Dad before he gave me away are amazing, and we didn’t even know that Lisa had photographed our actual ceremony until we got our photos back. Once again, incredible – totally natural, brilliantly captured pics – afterwards when we had all the group shots, she was great, and the results are fantastic. Lisa stayed with us all the way up to our first dance – and again we didn’t spot her – even though she must have been standing on a chair at one point in order to get a different angle!! In short, we’re really really pleased with our photos – all 237 of them lol x so glad we chose Lisa

We got married on 7th Oct and i can not recommend Lisa enough! We both hate our photos being taken and Lisa completely put us at ease and the photos look so relaxed and natural. Lisa captured our day completley and with such a big family has managed to include everyone! At one stage i actually thought Lisa had a superwomen cape on as she managed to be everywhere but we never even knew she was there! We changed our plans at the last minute due to some rain and Lisa’s organisation to get everyone back inside the church for the more formal shots was totally impressive. Lisa did the photography for our wedding in August 2011 and she was amazing! From our first meeting to receiving the album, everything was wonderful. She was always so organised and happy to answer any questions before the big day and we knew we were in good hands. On the day itself, she made us feel so comfortable (even though neither of us really likes having our photo taken!) and was really organised. We were so excited about receiving the images after the wedding, and were not disappointed. They are all beautiful and we love the mix of formal and informal shots. Choosing pictures for the album was tough but once we’d narrowed them down the album was fantastic – such high quality images presented in a beautiful way. We’re so happy we chose Lisa to provide these memories of our special day and cannot recommend her enough!

Lisa photographed our wedding day on the 30th June 2012, from the moment we met Lisa we know we wanted her to help make our wedding day special. Lisa thought of every detail to capture our day and made us feel special and is such a warm and lovely person. We haven’t even had Lisa’s services ourselves yet! We met Lisa at a friends’ wedding and were so impressed with her making everyone at ease and putting fab shots together that it was ‘search over’ for a photographer for our own wedding next year. Can’t wait. We just know that our pictures will be amazing even though both of us don’t like having our photos taken! Lovely knowing that we can relax about that side of our day now.

Lisa was jus amazing made me feel like a princess, for first time ever i felt comfortable having my photo taken thanks to her, and the pics were amazing and lots of natural pics of people enjoying the day, lisa’s pics really reflected the beautiful happy feelings of the whole day. lisa was reccomended to us by a friend, so glad i took the number, lisa photo’d our wedding aug 2012 from initial consult to the big day lisa was professional and put us completely at ease, the pics so natural and relaxed were amazing, she gets everywhere and you dont even realise til you see the pics. The pics have given me n my husband the best ever memories in both colour and black n white, my wedding day feelings rushed back lookin at the pics. cant reccomend her enough would definitely be my first choice every time

Lisa did an amazing job with our wedding photographs. The disc we received contained every photo taken on the day and the photo book was absolutely beautiful. Lisa was in no way intrusive on the day and many of our guests commented on how professional and approachable she was. No request was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Lisa.

We were so happy with the service Lisa provided right from the start! The preparations were effortless – I didn’t even have to worry about anything to do with the photos as Lisa was so efficient it was all taken care of! On the day Lisa was very well liked by the guests – very friendly and professional. She captured both the formal and casula shots beautifully! We chose Lisa for our wedding on 10th September 2011. Right from the start she was very professional but warm and friendly at the same time. Nothing was too much trouble and she put us at ease right from the start. We received the disk of our photos today and we are thrilled with them! They are beautiful and she really has captured the spirit of our day. She got some great intimate shots without anyone noticing she was there. I can not recommend her highly enough. Choosing Lisa was the best decision we made. The best bit is getting copyright for all the pictures and no pressure to buy a photobook. Thanks to Lia we have a lovely reminder of our day.

What can I say?? Lisa is A-MA-ZING! We got married in July and chose Lisa to photograph our day. What a choice it was! From our first meeting a couple of months beforehand I knew we had made the right choice, extremely professional throughout. She really knows how to make you feel at ease too for the ‘posy’ shots. The candid shots of the guests were a lovely surprise as we didn’t notice her sneaking round snapping away All in all we couldn’t be happier with the service and the end product, would recommend to anyone-you will not be disappointed! Lisa photographed our wedding on 1st October. She did an absolutely superb job – despite the baking heat and super bright sun from the freak heatwave !!
