I have been a full time photographer for over 16 years now and I have photographed over 600 weddings.
I was thinking recently about what this actually means in terms of experience and I have probably organised somewhere in the region of 6000 group photographs. I have captured tens of thousands of portraits, and natural, reportage style images, and to top it all, I have probably taken around half a million wedding photographs in my time!

I live in Congleton, Cheshire, and I regularly photograph weddings in Manchester, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Merseyside and beyond. I have been married to my lovely Dave for 17 wonderful years and I have two grown-up teenagers and a poodle called Cuba.
Different options…
With my most popular, All-inclusive package I usually arrive 2 hours before the ceremony begins to capture some photographs of the preparations. If you would prefer me to head straight to the ceremony venue instead that is no problem at all. I am normally allowed to photograph the key moments of the ceremony, and then after the service I usually take some group photos either at the ceremony venue or at the reception venue.
I find that a wedding naturally lends itself to different styles of creative photography; there are times when I will use a photojournalistic style to capture hugs and tears and proud smiles. Then there are certain shots, such as the signing of the register, throwing the confetti and cutting the cake etc which, although traditional shots, I like to capture as naturally as possible, with a just a tiny bit of organisation from myself.
At a couple of different points in the day, preferably both before and after the wedding breakfast. I usually like to take the newlyweds away from the crowd, just for 10-15 minutes or so, to get some couples shots in and around the wedding venue.
The light will be different with each short session, so your photos will have a different feel at different times of the day.
Throughout the day I will be capturing your celebrations using a natural, reportage style, so that you will be able to relax with your guests and enjoy yourselves. The responsibility is on me to create the images that I am looking for, so for most of the day you won’t really know that I am there, and when you do I work very efficiently so that you can continue enjoying your celebrations without disruption.
When the wedding breakfast is over, I often take the couple for a few more romantic shots, and I then stay to capture the evening reception, up to and including the first dance and a little bit of partying beyond. The evening reception will often have additional guests and you may want some particular photos with friends or even sparklers or fireworks!
Essentials
My Essentials package covers the ceremony itself, followed by your chosen family/ wedding party group shots, along with some lovely relaxed but creative couple’s shots too.
Half-Day/ Twilight
My Half-Day/ Twilight package includes 4 hours of coverage, so you could include some preparations, the ceremony and the reception, perhaps up to the wedding breakfast.
Or, for a twilight wedding, you might want to include the ceremony and reception up to toasts and maybe First Dance.
I’m completely flexible with timings… just let me know your requirements and we can go from there.
The Album One
This option includes everything in the All-Inclusive package, plus a 30x20cm Graphistudio stroybook album.
You would choose your favourite 80-100 images, using a simple pic-time selector and I would design a layout for you to approve. The books are printed on super thick Canon glossy paper, with 40 pages and a hardback cover.
